Heard this song recently. The tune is uncomplicated and sweet melancholy.
The lyrics really floored me though, especially this verse:

I guess that just what a lot of us go through. We feel safe in what we know, even if we hate it; and hate ourselves for it somehow. We blame the world for being this way, for being mean and cruel, and we are not wrong for the world is indeed like that. However it is our fear that keeps it that way.
One might feel different, seeking to know and not be led, but then we banish faith also. But when we can't hide behind logic anymore, we realize we have lost the light we need to set us free.
